Hammer toes

These are deformities of the lesser toes. They take many forms and can require surgical treatment, either alone or with bunion surgery.

Soft corns

These occur between two adjacent toes. A bump or deformity of one toe can cause pressure. This can be managed to a certain degree with a competent podiatrist and shoe-wear modifications. There is a place for surgical treatment. Generally there is a simple procedure, leading to rapid resolution of an issue, which has usually been a problem for quite some time.

Bunionette

This refers to a “bunion: of the 5th toe on the other side of the foot; these can occur singly or in combination with a great toe bunion.

Correction of this deformity is commonly considered.
