foot-surgery

Dr Miniter and his son professional photographer Robert Miniter attended the comprehensive rural health project in the first week of December 2018. The purpose of the visit was to follow up previous patients and to also offer up to date surgery for the huge number of patients presenting for care.

Included in our blog is a photograph of a particular patient. As you can see this man has severe deformities on his right foot and the left foot is not particularly normal. Is however the foot that was like the right foot before we offered him surgery last year.

His family were thrilled with the outcome from the surgery and we thus proceeded to correct the right foot as we did the left.

He proceeded to be discharged from the hospital without complication.

The trip itself was once again found to be very productive. Over 25 procedures were done by Dr Miniter during this camp and another 25 operations were also done by Professor Lanzetta, dealing with complex hand issues and burns and other serious injuries.

It has been another successful camp.

Dr Miniter will be returning to in the first week of February to follow up patients and to continue with the surgical task.

We have mentioned in early reports, we have over 500,000 people who call this particular hospital their own. It is their only source of medical treatment. Dr Miniter is the only orthopaedic surgeon, upper limb, lower limb, or otherwise who visits this hospital.

This task can be overwhelming but it is particularly satisfying.

We will send you a great many more photographs in the near future. We are also looking to publish a book, we will direct you to Robert Miniters website when he has posted photographs of patients and surgical treatments.

If you would like to help us support these people financially or otherwise, do not hesitate to contact us.
